FLOWERS FOR A PURPOSE
This program unites individuals with intellectual/developmental challenges, volunteers, and local senior citizens to learn about flowers and create floral arrangements. KBDF sponsors and organizes sessions with local assisted living facilities and Empower Cherokee, a long-term local services nonprofit for the intellectually challenged community. The completed bouquets are then shared with participants and community members, providing uplifting moments. Furthermore, the sessions foster friendships in comfortable environments, promoting the development of social skills.

CURRENT FFAP EVENT
Outside the sky was gray on August 12th, but inside the Landings of Canton Hills, flowers burst with color. Thanks to the Kathy B. Davis Foundation, 22 Landings residents and 10 participants of Empower Cherokee created bouquets for their homes. With the help of the Flowers for a Purpose volunteers, a program of the KBD Foundation, nursing home residents and special needs adults throughout Cherokee enjoy this monthly activity.
